Neurosurgery Medical Office Building

A new 7,500 square foot office building for a Neurosurgery practice.  The building has 3 floor levels with a private garage and storage at the basement level. The first level houses all patient operations including 4 exam rooms and staff offices.  The second floor is the Doctor’s private suite with office, exercise room, private toilet and conference area.

Plum Creek Medical Office Building

Designed as the original Quail Creek ENT, the facility features high ceilings in the patient waiting room and nurse’s station with clerestory windows for daylighting.  Patient spaces include exam rooms, procedure rooms, an allergy testing clinic and work rooms for the doctors and staff.  Views are maximized along the west side of the building which features patios and large areas of glass in the doctor’s offices, conference room and employee break room.

Quail Creek Ear Nose & Throat

With a desire to complement the native Texas landscape that surrounds the new Quail Creek Ear Nose & Throat, the material selections incorporate natural stone, wood, glass, and Corten metal panels into the exterior design. Taking advantage of a site with extreme grades, this new healthcare building features a large, enclosed garage for private doctor parking and a basement for future growth. The patient section of the facility features state of the art exam rooms and equipment, private sound booths for audiology and testing, allergy testing, and procedure rooms. High vaulted wood ceilings are complimented by clerestory windows to bring natural light into large interior spaces.

Texas Oncology

Securing space inside an existing medical office building, Texas Oncology renovated over 25,000 square feet over several phases to provide the highest level of oncology services for their Panhandle patients.  Spaces include an Infusion area, CT Scan space, Exam rooms and Lab space.  The addition of a Linear Accelerator involved the challenge of 9 foot thick concrete walls and a 5’ thick roof structure to protect surrounding patients from the effects of the equipment.

Texas Tech University HSC – Family Medicine Clinic

The Texas Tech University HSC Family Medicine Clinic outgrew it’s current space in a local hospital building and had a desire to relocate to the TTUHSC Amarillo campus.  The decision was made to add a fifth floor was added to the existing School of Medicine and School of Allied Health building to accommodate the new clinic. The plan includes over 30 exam rooms with additional procedure rooms and support spaces for the doctors and residents.

Texas Tech University HSC – School of Medicine and Allied Health

A 165,000 square foot, four story structure with a full basement and penthouse. The facility consolidated the Amarillo Schools of Allied Health and School of Medicine into one academic and clinic building. Lavin Associates provided full architectural services on this building as well as doing the original master planning for the entire campus.
